Recently, the BRICS PartNIR Innovation Base Economic Cooperation Conference – Special Session on Green Economy and Ecological Governance was held in Xiamen, focusing on environmental protection. The event was attended by 30 government officials and experts from 17 countries, alongside 34 representatives from 20 leading environmental protection companies in Xiamen. During the conference, 10 Xiamen-based companies, recognized for their technological advancements in environmental protection, presented their innovations. These companies showcased their core strengths in areas such as environmental technology research and development, equipment manufacturing, and engineering services, extending invitations for international collaboration. A representative from the Xiamen BRICS Office noted that the conference provided a broad and efficient platform for pragmatic cooperation in environmental protection between BRICS countries and the "BRICS+" group. The official expressed hope that such partnerships would yield tangible results, contributing to global environmental challenges and the achievement of sustainable development goals.
