According to the recently published 2023 Provincial Development Zone Comprehensive Evaluation, Xiamen Torch Hi-Tech Zone ranked first among 85 evaluated development zones in the province, marking its ninth consecutive year at the top. The zone has fostered three one-hundred-billion-yuan industry chains in flat-panel displays, software and information services, and computer and communication equipment. These industries have formed a well-developed industrial cluster led by key enterprises and supported by upstream and downstream companies. The flat-panel display industry covers the entire value chain from glass substrates to panels, modules, and finished products, positioning the zone as a leader in next-generation display technologies. The semiconductor and integrated circuits sectors host quality companies such as United Semi, San'an, Changelight, Sigmastar, and Epiworld International. The new energy industry is also thriving, with major projects from Xiamen CATL, Ampace, CALB, and Hithium. In addition, the Torch Hi-Tech Zone is accelerating future industry development, establishing incubators in artificial intelligence, metaverse, and biopharmaceuticals to explore new growth areas.
