On November 13, the Xiamen-Memphis international cargo route was officially expanded. The route, which previously had one flight per week since its trial operation in June, now operates five times a week, from Tuesday to Saturday. The route, which departs from Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport, stops in Incheon, South Korea, before connecting Anchorage, Alaska, and Memphis, Tennessee. The expanded service will operate with B777 freighters, offering over 290 tons of cargo capacity per week, reducing the transit time for some packages and heavy goods from Fujian to North America by one to two days. As of now, Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport has added eight cargo destinations, including Memphis, Atlanta, Dallas, Ontario, Anchorage, Paris, Manila, and Ho Chi Minh City, with a total of 50 weekly cargo flights.
