On November 6, the 2024 East Asia Seas (EAS) Congress and World Ocean Week in Xiamen officially commenced. Hosted by the Partnerships in Environmental Management for the Seas of East Asia (PEMSEA), the congress centers on the theme "Blue Synergy for a Shared Future: One Sustainable and Resilient Ocean." This event brings together global insights and efforts to explore sustainable ocean development. The event features participation from 26 ministerial officials from 15 countries, alongside over 1,000 domestic and international guests attending the opening ceremony and various international sessions. The event offers an extensive platform that includes parallel international conferences, special sessions, ocean exhibitions, marine industry promotions, and a marine culture carnival—showcasing the ocean's allure, cultural depth, and broad opportunities for industry development.
