On the 150th anniversary of Mr. Tan Kah Kee's birth, a global reunion event for Tan Kah Kee-affiliated schools was held in Jimei on the afternoon of October 21, themed "Promoting Tan Kah Kee's Spirit, Advancing Educational Progress." The Chengyi Development Fund was established on the same day, along with the ASEAN Jimei Alumni Association. The fund, with a total scale of 1 billion yuan and an initial phase of 200 million yuan, is managed by Xiamen Venture Capital Co., Ltd., which also serves as the managing partner, alongside planned joint investments from Fujian Industry Equity Investment Fund Co., Ltd. Tan Kah Kee alumni are widely distributed in ASEAN countries like Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand, with many living and thriving in the region. The ASEAN Jimei Alumni Association aims to enhance exchanges and cooperation among Jimei alumni in ASEAN, further promoting economic and cultural ties between China and ASEAN nations.
