From a high-altitude perspective, the metal roof and glass curtain wall of the Xiang'an International Airport terminal building are nearly finished, setting a strong foundation for the goal of being "basically completed by the end of 2025 and operational by the end of 2026." Reports indicate that the main construction of the terminal is over three months ahead of schedule, exceeding annual targets. Xiamen Xiang’an International Airport, located at the southeast end of Dadeng Island, has a total project investment of 55.574 billion yuan. The core area of the plan covers 20.16 square kilometers, with a layout of "1 main terminal area, 2 ends for incoming traffic, 3 terminal buildings, and 4 runways," to be built in three phases. Once completed, it will handle 45 million passengers annually and 750,000 tons of cargo and mail.
