Xiamen has been included in the 2024 National Logistics Hub Development list, recently released by the National Development and Reform Commission. Xiamen's air-port logistics hub has been recognized for its strong growth in the aviation logistics industry and impressive achievements. Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport currently operates flights to 128 airports in 124 cities, with a network that spans the globe, reinforcing its position as a key logistics hub. In 2023, Xiamen Airport ranked 12th nationwide in terms of cargo and mail throughput. The city leads the country in aviation maintenance, housing major firms like Taikoo and ST Aerospace, and has established the largest one-stop aviation maintenance base in China. Once the new Xiang'an Airport is operational, it will further enhance Xiamen's logistics capacity and boost the development of the air-port logistics hub. Xiamen will continue to advance the construction and operation of this national hub and enhance its aviation logistics services.
