Cross-Strait Book Fair Concludes in Xiamen

The 19th Cross-Strait Book Fair, a three-day event, drew to a close on September 23rd. Serving as a platform for book trading, copyright transactions, and industry collaboration between both sides of the Taiwan Strait, the fair boasted themed exhibition zones, a diverse range of books, and participation from numerous publishing entities. This made the fair an excellent medium to showcase and reflect the publishing industry landscape and achievements across the strait. This year, 203 public and university libraries and academic institutions made on-site purchases, resulting in a trade volume of 45.3 million yuan, marking a 12% increase from the previous edition and setting a five-year record. The event also witnessed 126 one-on-one copyright trade and collaboration sessions, with 350 agreements of intent for cross-strait publishing and copyright collaborations signed, 40 more than last year.
