As an integral part of the 5th Digital China Summit, the Fujian Digital Economy Innovative Development Conference was held on July 22 in Fuzhou. Xiamen's nine major projects of digital economy were signed at the conference with the total investment of nearly RMB 13 billion, ranking the first in Fujian. In recent years, Xiamen has seized the strategic opportunity from the high-speed development of digital economy and taken solid measures to advance industrial digitalization and digital industrialization, thus boosting the digital economy to grow on the high-quality basis. Last year, Xiamen witnessed the scale of digital economy up to RMB 425 billion, accounting for 60.4% of its GDP, up by 16.4% YOY. With a growth speed twice the GDP, digital economy has become a powerful driver for the high-quality development of economy and society.
