On April 16th, six "Silk Road Maritime" named routes were announced at the 2024 "Silk Road Maritime" Annual Conference, with three of them originating from or calling at Xiamen Port. With this addition, the number of "Silk Road Maritime" named routes has reached 122, connecting 135 ports in 46 countries and regions worldwide. As the starting port and core main base of "Silk Road Maritime," Xiamen Port plays a crucial role in the construction of the Belt and Road Initiative. To date, Xiamen Port has operated a total of 61 "Silk Road Maritime" named routes (including one bulk cargo route) and received over 10,000 vessels from these named routes.
