Xiamen FTZ revises policies to support construction of the Maritime Silk Road Central Legal District

To further create a market-oriented, legalized, and internationalized top-tier business environment, coordinate the development of domestic and foreign legal governance, and establish a hub for foreign legal services supporting Xiamen’s role as a pivotal city in the new development pattern, the Xiamen Area of the China (Fujian) Pilot Free Trade Zone recently revised the "Several Measures to Support the Construction of the Maritime Silk Road Central Legal District Free Trade Pilot Zone (2024-2027)." The policy aims to attract higher levels of international and market-oriented legal and quasi-legal elements; encourage legal service institutions to expand and strengthen; promote talent recruitment; foster cross-strait legal exchanges and integration; support the practical application of temporary arbitration rules and the development of foreign-related arbitration services; expand the foreign service scope and increase the international influence of the Maritime Silk Road International Legal and Commercial Integration Service Base; and strive to create a "Xiamen Model" for foreign commercial legal services.
