On April 9th, the Hurun Research Institute released the "2024 Global Unicorn List," identifying privately-held companies founded after 2000 and valued at over USD 1 billion. Hithium Energy Storage, a battery storage manufacturer based in Xiamen, was valued at RMB 25 billion and ranked 270th globally. Established just over four years ago, Hithium Energy Storage has already achieved an annual output value exceeding RMB 10 billion. In 2023, it ranked among the top five globally in terms of energy storage battery shipments and second in China for power storage battery shipments, placing it at the forefront of the global storage sector. To date, Hithium Energy Storage has filed over 2,800 global patents and launched products including 280Ah, 300Ah, and 314Ah models, as well as φ64 large cylindrical household energy storage batteries and liquid-cooled energy storage products. Hithium Energy Storage's rise to "unicorn" status in Xiamen is a testament to the city's focus on technological innovation and its supportive environment for entrepreneurship. In recent years, Xiamen has aimed to become an "Innovation City for New Energy Industries," propelling rapid development in this sector. Currently, Xiamen's new energy and related industries exceed a total value of RMB 100 billion.
