The bird's nest platform in the Xiamen Free Trade Zone has kicked off the new year with a strong start, breaking 100 million yuan in output and growing over 60% year-on-year. In January 2024, the platform's output reached 133.283 million yuan, a 63.56% increase year-on-year, with 2,750 kilograms of raw bird's nests imported, up 39.5% from the previous year. Since the first batch of raw bird's nests was imported into Xiamen in 2019, the platform has cumulatively imported about 88.06 tons, with approximately 29.03 tons imported in 2023 alone, keeping Xiamen Port as the leading importer of raw bird's nests in China for five consecutive years. The bird's nest platform is one of the key platforms developed by the Xiamen Free Trade Zone, making Xiamen the largest bird's nest brand and deep processing base in the country.
