Xiamen is focusing on nurturing strategic emerging industries such as new energy, new materials, biomedicine, and cultural tourism creativity within its "4+4+6" modern industrial system, fostering a batch of "Little Giants," "Unicorns," and "Hidden Champions." To date, Xiamen boasts 168 "National Specialized and New 'Little Giant' Enterprises," including leading companies like CATL Xiamen, AMPACE, CALB, Hithium Energy Storage, Kelong, and XTC New Energy. These enterprises are driving nearby industrial and supply chain firms towards collaborative and supportive development. Furthermore, Xiamen has established over 50 national-level innovation and public service platforms and 10 new energy innovation platforms, focusing on innovation and talent development in new energy fields like lithium electricity and energy storage. From January to November 2023, Xiamen's new energy industry grew by 32.2%, surpassing the total output value of 2022. By 2025, Xiamen is poised to become one of the largest lithium battery manufacturing bases in China.
