On November 14th, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Ministry of Transportation, and six other departments jointly issued the "Notice on Launching the First Batch of Pilot Zones for Comprehensive Electrification of Public Vehicles," identifying 15 cities including Beijing, Shenzhen, and Xiamen as pilot cities for this initiative.. This initiative encourages the exploration and formation of replicable and scalable models, aiming to serve as a demonstration for the widespread market adoption of new energy vehicles and the construction of a green, low-carbon transportation system. According to the notice, the focus of new energy vehicle promotion will be on official vehicles, city buses, sanitation vehicles, taxis, postal and courier vehicles, urban logistics delivery vehicles, airport vehicles, and heavy-duty trucks in specific scenarios. The expected number of vehicles promoted exceeds 600,000. The pilot phase is set for 2023-2025.
