Xiamen is home to 21 Class A scenic areas and over 100 other parks (sightseeing spots). In 2022, Xiamen recorded 65.6875 million domestic and international tourist arrivals, with tourism revenue totaling RMB 85.517 billion. There are 3,579 hostels and hotels in Xiamen, including 43 star-rated hotels and 19 five-star or other high-end hotels. There are 543 travel agencies, including 5 for Taiwan tours and 48 for overseas tours. Representative enterprises include: C&D China Travel, Xiamen Tourism Group, Astro Ocean Cruise, Fantawild, Huaxia Cultural Tourism Group, etc.
II. Development Priorities
1. Core tourist attractions: theme parks, high-grade scenic areas, large-scale tourism experiencing bases, tourism complexes, etc.
2. New forms of tourism business: cruise ships, yachts, sailboats, RV campsites, research tours, recuperation, sea recreation experiencing, etc.
3. Culture-tourism fusion: tourism performing arts, film and TV tourism, intangible cultural heritage tourism, cultural tourism, red tourism, etc.
4. Rural tourism: rural leisure vacation, characteristic towns, pastoral complexes, etc.
5. High-end accommodation industry: international high-end accommodation brands, boutique theme hotels, boutique family inns, high-end hotel chains, etc.
6. Smart tourism: OTA enterprises and tourism enterprises operating with 5G, AI, big data, mobile payment and related technologies.

I. Development Foundation
Xiamen’s film and TV industry, intelligent audiovisuals, digital content, creative design and other core content industries have advanced by leaps and bounds, and the agglomeration of high-end artwork businesses has increased significantly. Xiamen has also been included in China’s first batch of national cultural export bases and has become the permanent host city of the China Golden Rooster and Hundred Flowers Film Festival. In 2022, the total revenue reached RMB 201.79 billion. Representative enterprises include G-bits, 4399, Read at Ten, ByteDance, Base Media, Migu Animation, Daylight Entertainment, and Blanc.
II. Development Priorities
1. The film and TV industry. Including film and TV program creation, shooting, production, distribution and screening, as well as film and TV finance, film and TV-related MICE, and other integrated services.
2. The Internet audio-visual industry. including intelligent audio-visual content production, technical services, platform operation, education and training, copyright trading, terminal manufacturing, and other services.
