As an important area for the development of the IC industry along the southeast coast of China, Xiamen has seen leaps and bounds in its IC industry during the 13th Five-Year Plan and entered the key cities of the national IC planning layout. By 2025, Xiamen is expected to break the 100-billion-yuan mark in its IC industry output value, with Haicang of no less than 50 billion yuan, driving the scale of related industries to exceed 100 billion yuan. On June 25 to 26, the 5th JiWei Semiconductor Summit 2021, one of the largest, most famous and influential conferences in the semiconductor industry in China, kicked off in Haicang, Xiamen. Nearly 2,000 guests were present to discuss the innovation and development path of domestic semiconductor enterprises in the new situation. 2020 witnessed Xiamen gain an output value of 43.6 billion yuan in the semiconductor industry, including the IC industry of 26.6 billion yuan, achieving rapid growth of more than 10%, as shown in the data.
