"In the 20th-anniversary meeting of Dell's entry into China last year, Dell chairman and global CEO Mike Dell specifically emphasized that 'it was theright decision to choose Xiamen'", said Luo Kangxing, vice president of Dell Technologies. It was the 20th-anniversary of Dell's entry into China last year. Dell chose Xiamen as its base in China in the very beginning and has attached great importance to the long-term strategic partnership with Xiamen.

According to Luo, Dell has developed and prospered together with Xiamen in the past 20 years. Today, Dell is the largest manufacturing enterprise of Xiamen, with an annual output of 60 billion Yuan in 2018, up by 17% YOY. Dell has its Greater China headquarters and 2 world-leading plants in Xiamen to produce desktops, servers, memories and other products with a high added-value. It produces in Xiamen and serves the global market. Xiamen and Dell further reached an agreement last year to make high-end products for both the domestic and international markets in Xiamen in the next couple of years.

As Luo said, long-term stable expectations were very important to an enterprise with long-term commitments. Dell has been in Xiamen in 20+ years. Despite the changing administrations of Xiamen, the strong supports to Dell, the commercial commitments and respects to Dell and the partnership with Dell have never changed.

Luo Said Dell and Xiamen had reached an agreement to deepen their cooperation in the future and that Dell would make more leading products with a high added-value in Xiamen. With the increasing investments of Dell in Xiamen, its digitalization transformation will generate more demands for IT infrastructures. Greater room is foreseeable for cooperation between Dell and Xiamen in the next couple of years.
