Pay with Overseas Bank Cards
If you hold an overseas bank card with a Visa, MasterCard, JCB, or other identification, you can make payment by swiping the card at a merchant with the corresponding acceptance identification.If there is no identification, you can consult the cashier to see if it can be used.
If you hold an overseas bank card with the UnionPay logo, you can make card payments at all merchants equipped with POS machines in Xiamen.
Please confirm if your bank card can be used within China. Some bank cards need to apply to the issuing bank in advance to activate cross-border transaction functions.
You can use UnionPay, Alipay, WeChat and some overseas electronic wallets for convenient mobile payment. Come and experience it!

1. Convenient experience. Inbound tourists can directly pay with their home-grown wallets, without opening a separate accountor downloading a Chinese app.
2. Same rate as that of China cards.No additional fee.

You can withdraw RMB cash directly from self-service devices such as ATMs and CRSs with corresponding bank card organization identification on your overseas bank card.

Individual Local and Foreign Currency Exchange Franchise Institution
You can directly use foreign currency cash to exchange for RMB cash at a personal local and foreign currency exchange authorized agency with a "currency exchange" sign hanging on it. Each person can exchange a cumulative amount of no more than the equivalent of 5000 US dollars per day, and overseas individuals can use foreign currency cash to exchange RMB for a cumulative amount of no more than the equivalent of 50000 US dollars per year. Currently, there are 10 personal Local and Foreign Currency Exchange Franchise Institutions throughout Xiamen.Commonly found in airports, ports, and other places.

Exchange agency
Currently, there are 62 exchange agencies throughout Xiamen.Commonly found in foreign-related hotels and other places, it supports one-way exchange of foreign currency cash into RMB cash. Each person's daily exchange does not exceed the equivalent of 10000 RMB, and the annual exchange does not exceed the equivalent of 50000 RMB.

Self-Service exchange machine
Currently, there are 2 self-service exchange machines throughout Xiamen.You can exchange foreign currency cash for RMB cash through the self-service exchange machine with your valid personal identification document. Each person is not allowed to exchange more than the equivalent of 5000 RMB per day.

Account Service
If necessary, you can open a bank card at a domestic bank branch with valid identification documents. The following documents can be used as valid identity documents for applying for bank cards: valid passport, Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Residents, Mainland Travel Permit for Taiwan Residents, Permanent Residence Identity Card for Foreigners, Hong Kong and Macao Resident Permit，Taiwan Resident Permit, and other valid identity documents required by laws and administrative regulations. Applying for bank cards within the country requires cooperation with banks to conduct due diligence in accordance with international practices. Domestic banks will conduct reasonable classification and grading management based on due diligence.
You can use domestic bank cards in the following scenarios according to the bank card regulations (agreements) of domestic banks: swiping cards at all merchants equipped with POS machines in China for consumption; Withdrawing RMB cash for cash consumption, etc.
