On the afternoon of September 8, the signing ceremony of municipal-level investment promotion projects of Xiamen delegation of 2020 CIFIT was held. Forty-one investment promotion projects were signed, with a record-high investment of RMB 92.528 billion. Among them, 10 were foreign-fund projects with investment totaling RMB 16.65 billion and 31 were domestic-fund projects with investment totaling RMB 75.878 billion. On the spot, Xiamen Municipal People's Government also signed an agreement with Taiyuan Municipal People's Government on promoting friendly exchanges and deepening cooperation in an all-round way.
Among the 41 projects signed, 21 were high-quality large projects with an investment of RMB 1 billion or more, accounting for over half of all projects. There were over 14 projects invested by high-quality investors such as the Fortune Global 500, China's top 500 and unicorn enterprises, thus realizing the accelerated convergence of capital, technology, talent and innovation elements in Xiamen. These 41 projects cover such areas as headquarters economy, new energy and new materials, biomedicine and health, software and information services, modern logistics, cultural creativity, film and television production. The contract signing presents the features of steadily-advancing construction of the smart city, strength gathering in the medical and elderly care industry, accelerated layout of the cultural media industry, and sustained release of the effect of headquarters economy. Also, a number of well-known enterprises like Yango Holdings, China Eastern Airlines, CICT Group, Huawei, Fosun Sinopharm and Lenovo Group have settled in with high-quality projects.
