Themed by "Revitalize Investment Confidence, Promote Win-win Cooperation", the Keynote Conference of 2020 International Investment Forum was held on the morning of September 8.
Hu Changsheng, on behalf of the CPC Xiamen Municipal Committee and the municipal government, extended cordial greetings to all the guests and friends who attended the conference offline and online. As pointed out by Hu, the development process of the CIFIT is the epitome of China's continuous progress in reform and opening up and the best witness to the accelerated development of Xiamen Special Economic Zone. Over the past twenty-odd years, the CIFIT has developed from an regional economic and trade activity to the world's largest international investment and trade promotion event in response to the national strategic initiative by adapting to changes of the international economic situation and highlighting the theme of international investment promotion.
Hu also stressed that Xiamen will further expand the space for opening up and cooperation. Xiamen will vigorously implement policies of relaxing foreign investment access and market access, make greater efforts to attract large and strong enterprises by centering on high-end manufacturing industries like electronic information and biomedicine and modern service industries like shipping logistics and financial services, and encourage foreign investment in new technologies, new industries, new business formats and new models. Xiamen will also further optimize the opening up and cooperation environment, speed up the building of an upgraded international trade single window, and create a market-oriented, law-based and international business environment for enterprises, so as to attract more foreign-funded projects to settle in Xiamen.
Zhao Long, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Fujian Provincial Committee and vice governor of the province, said in his speech that as a highlight of the CIFIT every year, the International Investment Forum brings together the wisdom of all parties to find out the investment trend, releases a "good voice" of investment to the international community, and transmits the "positive energy" of investment to the world.
