On June 30, CATL Zero-Carbon Technology (Xiamen) Co., Ltd. completed its business registration with a registered capital of 10 billion yuan. This marks substantial progress in the joint development of the Xiamen Zero-Carbon Technology City by Xiamen and Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. Limited (CATL). Previously, Xiamen and CATL signed a cooperation agreement, reaching a consensus on jointly building the Zero-Carbon Technology City in Xiamen. The project will serve as the core of CATL’s second growth curve and will help Xiamen cultivate a new growth engine, providing major support for the city’s economic transformation and upgrading during the 15th Five-Year Plan period. As a global leader in zero-carbon technological innovation, CATL will fully expand its zero-carbon ecosystem businesses in Xiamen. Building on its existing key projects such as CATL Xiamen, Ampace, Era Electric Service Technology Co., Ltd, and ESVL, the company plans to establish its zero-carbon ecosystem business in Xiamen, including a global zero-carbon technology R&D center and zero-carbon technology service operations.
