Starting September 6, Xiamen Airlines will launch direct flights between Xiamen and London Heathrow. This will be Fujian Province's first direct passenger route to London, filling a gap in direct air links between Fujian and a major British aviation hub, and building an efficient air bridge connecting Fujian with Europe's core markets. The route, flight numbers MF821/822, will be operated by Boeing 787 wide-body aircraft three times a week, on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. The Xiamen–London flight is scheduled from 00:50 to 06:35, and the London–Xiamen flight from 12:35 to 07:00 (local time).
