Recently, the multipurpose vessel "Xiong'an" set sail from Xiandai Terminal bound for Houston, carrying 104 units of 36-ton-class containerized lithium battery energy storage systems. This shipment marked a new Xiamen Port record for the most energy storage containers exported on a single voyage. Often referred to as "giant power banks," these energy storage containers have been shipped in increasing quantities since May 8, with 80, 90, and now 104 units sent in successive voyages, breaking the port's single-voyage export record three times in just one month.
