On April 22, the groundbreaking ceremony for the EYOSON Marine Microorganisms and Polypeptide R&D and Industrialization Base was held in the Xiamen Marine High-Tech Industrial Zone. With a total floor area of 65,000 square meters and an investment of approximately RMB 500 million, the project will establish a modern marine biological industry base integrating smart manufacturing plants, R&D pilot platforms, and multiple core production lines. It will focus on cutting-edge fields such as marine microorganism-based probiotic preparations, novel marine microbial enzyme preparations, marine functional active peptides, and marine biological products. In the first quarter of this year, project construction in the Xiamen Marine High-Tech Industrial Zone accelerated significantly. Eight projects, including the Wujiang Avenue (Hongzhong Avenue–Jinhai Road) road engineering project, the external power line project for the Innovation Industrial Park (Phase I), the civil works for the Qianwu 110 kV substation, and the Lujiang Innovation Lab A project, commenced construction, showing notable growth and faster progress compared to the first quarter of 2025. In 2026, the Xiamen Marine High-Tech Industrial Zone will prioritize advancing 54 projects, with a total estimated investment of around RMB 11.55 billion.
