On January 17, Xiamen Port hosted a New Year voyage inauguration ceremony at Haitian Terminal. The departure of the vessel CNC SERVAL marked the first voyage call of the CMA CGM BMX route at Xiamen Port in 2026, initiating the port's new chapter in enhancing shipping cooperation and expanding its Southeast Asia route network. The BMX route is a key CMA CGM service for the Southeast Asian market, calling at multiple Philippine ports and significantly reinforcing maritime connectivity between Xiamen Port and Southeast Asia. CMA CGM recorded nearly 30% year-on-year throughput growth at Xiamen's relevant terminals in 2025. Xiamen Port handled 12.51 million TEUs in 2025, with Haitian Terminal contributing 2.8661 million TEUs (a 4.72% year-on-year increase). Currently, 50 Southeast Asian routes, over 96% of the port's total, call at Haitian Terminal. In 2026, Haitian Terminal will deepen its Southeast Asia route deployment by increasing frequencies to core trade regions and exploring emerging port routes while diversifying global services. Simultaneously, Xiamen Container Terminal Group will leverage the Silk Road Maritime platform to strengthen multilateral collaboration, advance hub infrastructure development, and support regional industrial chains and high-standard opening-up.
