The "Silk Road Maritime" initiative, originating from Xiamen, represents China's first integrated logistics service brand and platform dedicated to the Belt and Road Initiative. Currently, Xiamen Port operates 65 specially designated Silk Road Maritime container routes, which recorded 2,008 voyages and handled 2.3149 million TEUs of container throughput last year, marking a 3.26% year-on-year increase. This includes 245 voyages on two domestic trade routes, achieving 494,000 TEUs. Since its 2018 inception, the Silk Road Maritime has gained significant traction among foreign trade enterprises. As of December 31, 2025, China's 141 Silk Road Maritime designated routes had cumulatively completed 22,287 voyages and handled 26.2495 million TEUs. Among these, Xiamen Port's 65 Silk Road Maritime routes alone contributed 13,857 voyages and 15.6378 million TEUs.
