The Ministry of Commerce recently issued the Expanded Service Sector Opening Pilot Tasks for Dalian and Eight Other Cities to accelerate the liberalization of the service industry. This document assigns Xiamen, Fuzhou, and seven other cities 159 pilot tasks, encouraging them to pursue differentiated exploration based on local conditions. Leveraging their geographic advantages and distinctive industries, these cities will focus on key service sectors including telecommunications, healthcare and wellness, commerce and cultural tourism, and finance, while being assigned customized missions tailored to their contexts. The pilot tasks specifically support Xiamen in leveraging key industrial parks and platforms to facilitate cultural trade liberalization and advance service trade cooperation among BRICS nations.
