The key provincial-municipal project, Xiamen Science City Future Industry Innovation Base, has reached a critical construction milestone. Recently, as Xiamen's first demonstration project adopting the "integrated beam-slab prefabricated floor system without formwork or supports" technology, it successfully completed the hoisting operation for its first prefabricated floor. This marks the successful application of this intelligent construction innovation in Xiamen. Compared to traditional methods, the technology offers superior structural integrity, improves construction efficiency by over 30%, reduces on-site solid waste by 90%, and shortens the overall project timeline by 20%. Spanning 331,000 square meters, the Future Industry Innovation Base, a core project within Xiamen Science City, will comprise industrial workshops, pilot research facilities, dormitories, and supporting service buildings. Upon completion, it will collaborate with major sci-tech innovation platforms such as Xiamen University's Xiang'an Campus and the Tan Kah Kee Innovation Lab, focusing on strategic emerging industries including semiconductors, new materials, and smart energy storage.
