On December 17, the maiden voyage of the new Belt and Road route, coded VTX7, docked at the Haitian Terminal of Xiamen Port, adding another efficient and convenient international trade channel for the terminal. The VTX7 route primarily transports characteristic agricultural products such as cassava starch, dried cassava, rice, and mangoes from Cambodia and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, covering major ports including Sihanoukville in Cambodia and Ho Chi Minh in Vietnam. The launch of this route has halved the direct shipping time from Cambodia to Xiamen from the original 12 days to 6 days. It has become the fastest direct shipping route from Xiamen Port to Cambodia and Vietnam, establishing a new "maritime expressway" for high-quality Southeast Asian agricultural products to enter the Chinese market.
