On November 24, under the supervision of Dongdu Customs (subordinate to Xiamen Customs), 1,768 BYD new energy vehicles embarked from the Xiamen Modern Terminal aboard the company's self-operated Ro-Ro vessel "BYD SHENZHEN," bound for Mexico. This marked the vessel's inaugural voyage to Xiamen. As the largest in BYD's proprietary fleet, this ship features a capacity of 9,200 standard car equivalent spaces and employs an LNG/fuel dual-fuel propulsion system. It pioneers BYD's self-developed containerized battery packs and shaft generator technology, complemented by high-voltage shore power systems, ensuring zero carbon emissions during cargo handling while berthed. To facilitate this first call, Xiamen implemented multiple facilitation initiatives to ensure seamless coordination across all export stages for new energy vehicles.
