As of October 24, Xiamen Airport's bonded aviation fuel supply for international flights totaled 20,210 metric tons across 11,500 flights in 2025, representing respective year-on-year increases of 8.38% and 11.86% and setting new historical records for this period. Bonded aviation fuel service provides duty-free fuel for airlines operating international (including Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan) routes, reducing operational costs. For instance, a Boeing 787 operated by a foreign carrier saves approximately RMB 50,000–60,000 per 100 tons of bonded fuel. This initiative helps build aviation industry-friendly conditions in Xiamen, attracting new flight routes while bolstering development of Xiamen as an international aviation hub and driving growth within its aerotropolis industry chain.
