Xiamen sustains momentum in debut economy development

Xiamen continues advancing its debut economy initiatives. On October 19, the four-day 2025 Xiamen International Fashion Week concluded successfully. This fashion spectacle integrated premium resources including Harper's BAZAAR, Forbes China, and Thailand's Qurated Fashion, featuring over 100 brands. It staged more than 60 debut shows, inaugural exhibitions, and cross-border collaborations, catalyzing consumer enthusiasm and solidifying Xiamen's status as a vibrant fashion capital. These efforts position it as a vital engine for boosting the debut economy and fostering new quality productive forces in fashion. This year's edition hosted over 60 debut events. Nearly half the participating brands were indigenous Xiamen designer labels, reflecting Fashion Week's role in converging talent and innovation chains to empower local fashion industries. Moving forward, the event will amplify its industry accelerator function through collaborative partnerships to attract more essential factors and resources to Xiamen, support the growth of local design talent, and enhance the competitiveness and influence of its fashion industry.
