Sinolong New Materials Co., Ltd. (hereafter "Sinolong"), the world's largest BOPA (biaxially oriented polyamide film) supplier, has initiated new developments. On August 11, the main plant civil engineering works for Phase I of Sinolong's new energy film project in Haicang were completed, entering equipment debugging. By October 2024, this technologically leading production line will commence operations to manufacture ultrathin capacitor films. Sinolong has maintained its global leadership in functional BOPA films for years, commanding over 20% of the global market share. In April 2025, the company pioneered the industry's first BOPA specifically for solid-state batteries—filling a technological gap and reaffirming China's leadership in core new energy materials.
