On November 13, 2024, the opening ceremony of the China Golden Rooster and Hundred Flowers Film Festival was held at the Banlam Grand Theater in Xiamen. This year's festival will feature a series of events, including the Golden Rooster Award nomination ceremony, the awards ceremony, film screenings, forums, the GRIFF Industry, the Golden Rooster Film Project Market, and outreach programs for young and mid-career filmmakers. On the same day, the 2024 Golden Rooster Film Market kicked off with a signing ceremony for projects. A total of 175 cultural and film industry projects were signed, including six worth over RMB 1 billion and 97 projects valued above RMB 100 million. These include the Xiamen Film and Cultural Industry Base and City Film and Culture Theme Projects. The ceremony also saw the official launch of the "International Film and Television Copyright Service Platform". Relying on Xiamen's unique geographical advantages and the policies of the National Cultural Export Base within the Free Trade Zone, the platform aims to accelerate the global strategy for Chinese film and television intellectual property (IP), bring in international film and TV IP copyrights, promote international cultural exchanges, and support the high-quality, sustainable development of the film industry.
