From April 14th to April 23rd, Cui Yonghui, the Secretary of the Xiamen Municipal Party Committee, led a delegation to Brazil, the United Arab Emirates, and Indonesia. The visit aimed to deepen pragmatic cooperation under the frameworks of BRICS and the Maritime Silk Road, promote investment and trade development, further expand high-level openness to the outside world, and build Xiamen into a pivotal node city for new development patterns. During the visit, the delegation toured well-known multinational corporations and Xiamen-based companies operating abroad, met with foreign missions, and held discussions and project matchmaking events. These activities resulted in a series of cooperative agreements and facilitated numerous project signings, yielding substantial outcomes. The delegation also had in-depth exchanges with the Chinese ambassadors to the UAE and Indonesia, as well as consuls general in Recife, São Paulo, and Dubai, expressing hopes that the diplomatic missions would continue to guide and support Xiamen's international exchanges and local pragmatic cooperation to better serve the national agenda of opening up.
