The China Tourism Academy recently released the 2023 National Tourist Satisfaction Survey, with Xiamen being selected as one of the top ten cities nationwide, ranking in the top three. Data shows that in 2023, Xiamen's tourism industry welcomed nearly 110 million visitors, setting a new historical high with a 67% increase year-over-year. The total tourism revenue exceeded 156.7 billion yuan, leading the province and marking an 83% increase compared to the previous year. The 27 monitored scenic spots in the city received 51.9 million visitors, up 98% year-on-year. This year, Xiamen has formulated a three-year action plan for promoting the high-quality development of the cultural and tourism economy and has designated 2024 as the "Year of Tourism Quality," aiming to become a national benchmark city for tourism service quality.
